At the very top of this page, leave the "API base" box as
http://localhost:8787
(that is your local Compass server).

compass
server block.
Restart MCP servers in Cursor.

Why MCP and API base?
MCP is Cursor's tool server config. API base is where Compass API runs. The MCP server needs both: a local script path and the Compass API URL.
Use this when you want Gemini chat models in Cursor
Open Cursor settings.
Go to Models / API keys.
Add your Google API key and verify.
Choose a Gemini model from the chat model picker.
